Hi - writing with one hand sorry!full term baby, c section.crawls, scaling etc. breastfed. I weigh every 2 wks has no weight gain last coming up 4 wks?any ideas? thanku advance
Why are you weighing so often? NHS advice is something like not more than once every 3 months at that age, for most healthy babies.
You are definitely weighing too often.
Have you got concerns about his weight in general?
blimey I had no idea... I said to gp a few months back....monthly.he said mw prefer 2 weeks. So I went ahead with getting scales. WHO says every 4 weeks max. so then went for every 3 wks!thats such a relief....as he seems just fine in himself. So every 3 months??
fountain of knowledge! here . THANK YOU
If he's 11 months he should have a 1 year check with the health visitor coming up soon? They'll weigh him then and it will give you a chance to discuss any concerns and how often he should be weighed going forward.
thanks so much...just checked on NHS and says yes no more than once a month up to six months of age no more than once every two months from 6-12 months of age no more than once every three months over the age of onethat doc was awful...u get them dont you
yes just over month away from check. reassuring. Thank you!
I wouldn't bother weighing at all, it really doesn't mean a thing unless you are seeing an obvious failure to thrive.
