Does it blanch? Please check. Is she ok in herself? Is it raised and bumpy?

Reality16 Sat 28-Jan-17 20:19:04

Is it just her face?

Baby eczema possibly

Londonbum Sat 28-Jan-17 20:19:34

Aww bless her. Unless any other symptoms would say this looks just likd DC1s baby acne.

Stuffedshirt Sat 28-Jan-17 20:19:52

Looks like eczema to me.

CommonFramework Sat 28-Jan-17 20:20:24

She's so little, I'd ring OOH anyway. Hope she's ok.

Introvertedbuthappy Sat 28-Jan-17 20:20:37

Sorry, just seen it close up, looks raised and bumpy. It could be eczema, consult your GP/HV on Monday as you can get creams to help on prescription along with bath stuff etc. Very important to check it's non-blanching first though.

I tried to see her doctor on Friday but was fully booked so will take her monday. She fime in her self. It's very raised and bumpy to. Seems to get worse after I feed her to.

xbblx123 Sat 28-Jan-17 20:30:22

It's only on her face and head.

Reality16 Sat 28-Jan-17 20:32:37

If it's worse after feeding have a look into your diet and how it can affect eczema if that turns out to be what it is.

xbblx123 Sat 28-Jan-17 20:36:02

I will do, I'm new to all of this so I wouldn't know where to start

DS had baby acne and it looked exactly like this. I'd still get her checked ASAP though to be 100% sure and put your mind at rest.

How long does ance take to go? Thanks

wtffgs Sat 28-Jan-17 20:47:44

Bless her! Both mine went through this delightful phase. Only one went on to have (very mild) eczema. I'd be inclined to see the GP/HV because "internet diagnosis" blah-blah. brew

ThinkPinkStink Sat 28-Jan-17 20:50:57

It looks like baby acne to me too. DD had it from 4-6 weeks. She looked almost like she had measles, poor little thing (though it didn't bother her).

Of course, see the GP to put your mind at rest, but I'd bet my bottom dollar that she's just having a spotty phase.

I just kept DDs face clean and dry, and popped a tiny bit of Sudocrem on it when she went to bed. DD didn't have quite as much as your DD, but it looked basically the same (I'll try to find a photo).

NB: I think baby acne is caused by your adult hormones left over in her system, DD also had a tiny mini period at about the same time, so be ready for that, it's pretty terrifying if you don't know to expect it.

Mine both had this at about six weeks and it cleared up in a couple of weeks. I breastfed too.

ThinkPinkStink Sat 28-Jan-17 20:55:28

Poor little beast!!

xbblx123 Sat 28-Jan-17 21:50:13

Thank you for all of you comments, I haven't been bathing her in anything just water, and been keeping her face clean and dry, hope it heals up nice and quicksmile

JiltedJohnsJulie Sun 29-Jan-17 13:28:47

Yes, looks just like baby acne to me too smile

xbblx123 Mon 30-Jan-17 16:47:05

I taken her to the doctors today they said ance but it's getting so much worse? Should I stop breastfeeding her? As it's my hormones making her like It

ThinkPinkStink Mon 30-Jan-17 16:59:48

I don't think it's the new hormones form your breast milk, I'm almost certain that breast milk is the ideal thing for her right now. I believe it's the hormones left in her body from when she was in your womb.

ThinkPinkStink Mon 30-Jan-17 17:00:44

And don't worry! A beautiful baby is a beautiful baby, I bet you £10 it's cleared up by this time next month!

girlelephant Mon 30-Jan-17 17:07:48

My DS had this and both HV and later GP said it was baby acne, he's almost 5 months and has had it on/off since he was born. He's had a few creams given by prescription such as E45, Dermabase and more recently a cream with a low dose steroid.

He has really sensitive skin so not sure what bath gel etc you use on him currently but I found moving to Child's Farm helped.

girlelephant Mon 30-Jan-17 17:09:10

Sorry just read you only bathe her in water. Also she is a gorgeous little girl smile

girlelephant Mon 30-Jan-17 17:10:13

Sorry meant to say my GP said not to be worried that my DC has had it several times up to 5 months as for the first year babies have very sensitive skin
