How can I expect leap 1 to last? Behaviour changed drastically on Saturday (6 days ago!) and we're still experiencing it.

Can you describe the behaviour change?

- crying and unable to be soothed (for a while anyway)
- usually falls asleep very easily and could be put in his Moses basket and would fall asleep. Now needs to sleep on my chest and if I move him before an hour of falling asleep he is wide awake again.
- very grizzly
- constantly wanting to feed. He's formula fed. Will finish a bottle and never seem satisfied.

Do you think he might have a touch of reflux?

You never want a bottle fed baby to finish the bottle.

Sounds to me like baby is now hungrier than he was. If he ever finishes a bottle, make the next bottle bigger. The idea should be that you make 1 or 2 oz more than baby drinks.

Also, try feeding more frequently. Try to anticipate needing a feed and give it before being asked for. Same applies with naps too. 2 hourly would be a reasonable expectation for feed frequency. It might even be every 90 minutes if going through a growth spurt.

There should always be some formula left in the bottle. If your baby is drinking it all then you need to offer more.

Are you sure it is not reflux?

And my baby is back. Answered my own question. Leap lasted 7 days!

Wasn't reflux. He was on a development leap and all mentioned are common signs.
