DS ,9, scared the life out of me earlier

This morning I was awoken by DS and DD1 screaming at each other, I went to find out what was going on and found them fighting. I removed the laptop that DS was on, switched off my PC and turned off the tv. DS then started screaming and shouting at me. I put him in the hallway and told him to calm down, which he didn't, so I pulled him up and told him to go to his room, which he also refused to do, so I carried him upstairs and put him on his bed. He then turned round and put his hands around my throat He had a look in his eyes that scared me so much. I left him there to calm down. He came down a while later and said sorry, but I was so shocked by it all. He has an appointment at CAMHs soon, and I will raise the question over his temper but I have never seen him like that.....

I just have visions of him growing to a thug He has cerebral palsy (no excuse for what happened this morning) but he does have a lot to deal with.

That does sound scary. I would bring it up. Is he ever violent with DD?

You poor thing

But I wouldn't be worried about him turning into a thug. If you're getting help from CAMHS, they will be able to help with anger/violence too. Better sorted out now than when he is older, when it really could become a problem. But don't forget, even adults get help with anger management and come through it able to control themselves.

he can violent with the girls, but DD1 has ADHD and she is violent too.

How very scary for you

Must admit when ds does lose his temper he has a look in his eye, I got him a book the volcano in my belly which helps deal with kids anger.
