9mth old teeth brushing?

Any tips please? She's never been great but always at least had a chomp on a toothbrush with a smear of paste on it after her bath.

She's currently cutting a top tooth and I assume this is the reason she won't allow a brush anywhere near her mouth.

Her too bottom teeth haven't been brushed for over a week now properly and I'm starting to worry about how to push forward with this.

Thanks in advance.

My 1yo hated his teeth being brushed until I tried my electric one on him and he loved it so I got him his own one! Good luck

Sing!! Anything silly so they can't help but laugh. And let them do yours too. We sing 'if you're happy and you know it brush your teeth!

We try positive reinforcement- 'good boy! Ds brushing teeth! Good boy! Clapping/making a big fuss' etc.

That works about one day a month. Ds has a bit of a thing about anything going near his fingers/nose /mouth and tends to have a meltdown if anything does.
The other 29 days it takes two of us. Dh holds him and his arms and i pop a finger between his jaws to open them and go in with the brush. Ds hates it but he needs his teeth doing
