6yr old son anxious and upset about going back to school

I need advice ladies.. my son is 6.. he has has issues with me leaving him at school since preschool.. it got better towards tge end of last year as i put a stop to him being ripped from me kicking and screaming and me having to run out of the school... we got to the stage where id put his bag away with him and get him settled into an activity and he would tell me it was ok to go and not to talk to anyone lol.. still had a fear in his eye and a lump in his throat but it worked for us.. well its back to school monday and ive had 2weeks of him getting very upset at bed time (had the same last year but not as early on) crying that he doesnt want to go to school.. i always manage to passify him by saying not to worry its weeks away.. well its not anymore.. and this eve he was crying that he doesnt like lunch time at school (this again has been an issue perviously) he has a genuine fear/anxiety about going to school and i hate that the poor little sod feels like this.. stressing weeks in advance.. do i get him in the docs monday? Im dreading monday morning i dont want him to feel this way but ive tried everything i can to ease the process for him and its not working... help please x

My little boys 7 he has bouts of this. The only thing that really helps him with anxiety is vitamins and sleep

It sounds like he has seperation anxiety - I would take him to the doctors.
Is he about to start year 2?
