Potty to toilet

My dd is three. She's decided to potty train herself and has clicked with the potty fairly quickly and we've ditched pull ups day and night. She can now also pull her trousers and pants down.

The trouble is she's non verbal and has autism so can't tell us when she wants to go so we frequently ask or pop her on. But how do we get her to use the toilet? She's happy using the potty but getting her onto the toilet would be good. It's hard as she doesn't tell us she needs to go.

Continue using the potty for now, there is no rush. Maybe introduce pec cards for the toilet.

Do you use Makaton? Could you teach her the sign for toilet? Or as Jason suggested PECS? I work in a school for children with special educational needs, and these are the ways in which the non verbal children will tell us that they need the toilet. Xx
