2.4yo still night waking, would a bed help?

DS2 slept through from 22mo for three months then stopped again (nothing changed to either cause him to sleep through or to stop!). He wakes 1 - 2 times, they are very brief and usually just wants either tucking back in or his teddy finding then he is back to sleep. Either me or DH can do it, he isn't fussed about who responds to him. He is still in a standard cot but was wondering if more space and a bigger duvet might help? Amy opinions or advice welcome! (He sleeps 8.30pm until 7.30am and naps 12.45 until 2 every day).

I wouldn;t. I shifted mine at 2 and she kept getting out! I would get a sleeping bag like babies have...with a zip...you know...those vest style ones.

H&M used to do them.

I moved DD1 to a bed at 16mo and her first night in it was the first time she slept through. It only had a positive effect on her sleep. The ability to spread out and stick her legs out of the covers when she's hot made the difference I think (she was in sleeping bags previously). Now at 25mo we're about to move her into a single bed as we need the cot bed back for DD2. A standard cot does sound a bit small for that age tbh, especially if you have a child who likes to sleep like a starfish as ours does!

If you are concerned about escape attempts, put a stairgate across the bedroom door Smile
