I have a 13 month old paper eater too, they were all laughing at me at Slimming World the other week as he's eaten half the front cover of my book!

dd1 is 10 and still eats paper without being aware of it.

Mind you, so does dh. He'll take a label off something and automatically put it in his gob. Yuk.

Hmm thinking about it I must confess when I was a child and reading paper back books I used to rip the corners off and eat the paper.

DS still does it too, (21 months) plus he eats soap and sudacream?!?!?

I'm 34 and still eat paper occassionally [blush} - although I must say I now prefer nice soft brown paper rather than tough old marie claires - perhaps my tastes have matured

riab - oh yes, can't beat a bit of sudocream! lol.

Ds covered himself head to toe in the stuff one morning. Dh arrived at work to meet me and all I could smell was sudocrem!

ditto littlelapin

give her the inside of a loo roll to play with and you don't have to give her a proper meal later

My 18 month old loves...sand, by the spadefull, daycare has a sandpit, so the next day nappies are always interesting. He also loves playdough, dirt, paint and stones, though tends just to chew on the stones and spit them out. Never yet made a bit for paper, though I wouldn't put it past him.

DD is 19 months, and always chewing paper. Loo paper and tissue paper always been her favourite so she has fine taste!!! DH has always chewed on paper, any tiny pieces of paper around goes straight in his mouth, it has always annoyed me so maybe that's why DD does it too

I remember chewing on the corners of pages books as a child and into teens. Weird...Also recall that old musty books didn't taste too nice!!
