normal for 10 month old?

So our DD is 10 months.

She can sign more, snack & knows most of twinkle twinkle & itsy bitsy spider in the right context with zero prompting

She understands more signs like no, spaghetti, strawberry etc

She is cruising furniture at an alarming speed!

She can say Mama, Dada, Dog, up & down (with arm movements), Andad (Grandad), Andma (Grandma), hiya, yes & a few others. They are used in the right context with zero prompting.

Is this normal?

Yes. What are you looking for from your post ? All babies are different, they do different stuff at different times. Your baby sounds normal.

You will need to elaborate a bit more. Otherwise your post will read like something else.

Art Grin mine too!

OP- yes it is normal, she certainly sounds a lot more advanced that my 10 month old but as you probably know babies do everything at different rates.

Are you actually worried about it?

One of mine was talking at this age. She couldn't do anything else, though. Didn't walk til nearly two. And no hair. And immensely fat.

We called her the talking cottage loaf.

Btw my ds is 10 months almost 11. He bum shuffles, shouts, throws stuff, waves, claps, makes a few weird noises. He can't stand yet and he can't even do a traditional crawl. dd was walking at his age and said a few words. All different

Aren't you all just darling!

I was asking as my friends child does far more & I was concerned about her development as a first time mum.

Thanks for you replies.

Sorry for teasing. What can your friend's child do? Are you worried about your baby?

My 10 month old DS is army crawling and has just started pulling up on furniture, though has absolutely no balance to walk around furniture! He says Mumma, Dadda, Nana, byebye. I'm trying to teach him to sign, but he hasn't a clue yet bless him!
Nowhere near as much as yours is doing, but I'm not worried in the slightest! All babies are different, I know of 8 month olds who have walked, and I know some who haven't walked until 18 months, there is such a range on all milestones.

My DD is almost 10 months old. She can say dada, roll over, wave and eat toast. That's about it! But I'm not worried, they are all different and do things in their own time. Sounds like your dd is doing fine, try not to compare her to others.

Bloody hell. My 10 month old does nothing. Doesn't even clap or wave. What the hell can your friends baby do?!

My ds walked at 9 months old but could climb out of babywalker and high chair at 6 months. Not a proper sentence uttered until he was 2 & a half.

Dd1 couldn't walk until she was 14 months but was stringing sentences together.

Dd2 could crawl and climb at 9 months but didn't walk until 13 months. She still babbles apart from a few choice phrases such as "oh no", "let me see", "where is it?".

Meh. All different.

My 10 month old grandson (whom im the main carer for) can roar like a lion in context - though seriously overused now to mean any animal! And say 'dog' no sign of granny yet. But he can do actions for 'when youre happy and you know it clap your hands/stamp your feet/shake your head/touch your nose' and 'wheels on the bus' 'heads, shoulders . Knees and toes' (head and toes). He has a fab childminder who takes him to activities every day - clearly worth her weight in action songs!
