toilet issue when out and about

My 3 year 9mon old refuses to use public toilets when we are out and about. He seems to have a few and holds ok as long as he can. Most of the time he holds it(HAS REALLY good bladder control) but now the weather is better he is drinking more so it has become a bigger issue. Has anyone any tips for overcoming this.

What's the issue with public toilets? Do you go in with him? Can you just stop at everyone and you use the toilet - then ask if he needs to go?
Just wondering if you're nagging (I know we all do!!)

No I don't keep asking it's just of if see him jumping up and down I know he needs to go and u bring him but he won't go just says he want to go home to do it. That's not always possible so I'm not sure what to do

Or a pullup you can quickly change him into?

Yes think I'll have to go back to the portable potty. I thought we had overcome this issue but he was very sick for about 6 weeks and seems to have regressed a bit in a few different ways

Again before he got sick he would use the ones in pre school but now he is avoiding those ones too. He has another year of pre school next year so I would hope it will be resolved by then. Think I will just have to bring it back a few steps until I work put what has hum so reluctant

We had this with my son for a long time. I'm sorry I don't have a lot of wisdom but you do have massive amounts of my sympathy.
We finally overcome it bribing him with chocolate - giving him choc for sitting on a familiar toilet (at my sis house) fully clothed, then trousers down, then actually weeing.
It took months. We don't know what triggered it.
I can report that he's fine now!

For a while black toilet seats were an issue , but now no problems.

I know some people disapprove of rewarding with food, but I was at breaking point, and it worked.
