Hello,
My little boy has always suffered with trapped wind at night which wakes him up. I have tried everything. Infacol, colief, fennel tea, gripe water, tummy massage etc etc.
The health visitors I have spoken to just keep telling me that he will grow out of it and that we are doing everything right. So, has anyone out there experienced this? What age did your baby 'grow out' of it? He wakes up every night in pain with his little legs going and crying/screaming in pain and discomfort and I'm not sure how much longer I can take it.
He is solely breastfed and I give him gripe water with each feed to help him burp. He also gets fennel tea every day, how much depends on how much he wants. This is the only combination I've tried which seems to ease it.
He is burped after every feed, tummy massaged whilst feeding etc. He farts and burps fine during the day but at night his tummy is waking him up.
Any help/advice is muchly appreciated. I'm thinking about taking him to the doctor if things don't improve but I don't know how long I should wait for him to grow out of it.
Thank you!
