Hi all,

I had my DD 14 months ago. After 6 months ish she has been waking up to sleep in my bed. I end up waking up with sore joints and I don't think my DD is really that comfortable but she wants a cuddle.

My question is how do I get her to sleep in her cot all night. She still has her cot in my room as she wakes up every night so it's easier to have her in here. I have no other children and she comes in about 1ish every night. She normally goes to bed at 8pm ish and wakes up at 7.30am ish.

Thanks for your help smile

Have you tried her sleeping in another room? It may be that you are disturbing her in the night.

Have you tried a dummy, ewan, rocking her then placing her back in her cot once she's asleep?

Thanks all. I will try her in a different room as I haven't tried this. She has never taken to a dummy but thanks

My ds is 8 months now and sleeps from 6pm until about advice I was given was getting him into his own room. I didn't relax properly when he was in our room because I was terrified of waking him and he always woke when we went to bed. My aunt has 4 kids and it was her that suggested I move him, he was 5 months old. Worked from day 1! He sleeps well, I sleep well and everyone is happy! Try it and see how it goes smile good luck!

I moved my dd into her room at 8.5 months when she was waking 2-4 times a night. In the first week she slept through 3 times and now (she's 10 months) she sleeps through 5-6 night s a week. So I'd give it a go!
