My 9year old dribbles, does anyone else share this experience?

My son has dribbled all his life, not so bad that his clothes are wet but his chin is often wet.
We have seen ENT consultant, they put him on nasal steroids in case his adenoids were enlarged and sent us off thinking he will grow out of it.
He hasn't yet and in 18months he starts secondary school. I'm concerned he will suffer through teasing, it's already started at primary school.
My son asked me today if anyone else has this at his age?
I wondered what might have worked for other children. Did they grow out of it?
With thanks

Back to GP and ask for another referral.

Having recently had baby's tongue and lip tie treated I read a lot of posts on topic and dribbling came up as a symptom for some untreated ones. I agree you could see what dentist says. Speech is fine?

Thanks for thoughts.
Not found a useful dentist that new anything, though his teeth aren't great, weak enamel and has needed fillings.
Speech is all fine.
I'm going to look for a new dentist and a referral back to ENT.
THanks and if anyone has any other experience please do let me know.

there was a child who dribbled excessively (her clothes were wet) on the kids version of embarrassing bodies - iirc she had to have a tonsilectemy and this cured the issue.

so yes, go back to your GP

If it is his adenoids he could be dribbling because he's a mouth breather. Ds is 9 and even after removal still dribbled because the mouth breathing had become a habit. He is a lot better now but it is still a problem. Definitely get a referral back to ent. He may be a candidate for removal.
