Hi all I have a lovely 2 month old baby usually full of smiles, sleeping mostly through the night but this week this has all changed she has become very down and grumpy and is sleeping at most for and hour on and off a night! She is very flustered rosey cheeks etc. she is making chewing motions with her mouth and rolling her tounge over the area. She's moaning a lot not really crying, she will not sleep in the day at all!! Also she will grab my hand To chew and this settles her, I take it away she's upset. I can also see teeth I'm sure pls see pic.
Is there anything I can do as o hate seeing her like this!? Most things seem to be 3+ months hence why I don't know what to do
Thanks x

Sounds like teething to me! Speak to a pharmacist to see if there's anything you can give her. Have you tried any teething rings yet? My 19w DD won't take any teether & Calpol & teething gel seem to have no effect :( hope you're luckier than we are! X

Also when DD first started teething about 4w ago her daytime naps went out the window completely. Weirdly as the teething got worse & more intense her sleep has improved & is now better than it was pre-teething (tbh she never slept before so could be an age thing plus growing out of colic & reflux)

I agree I can see teeth and everything you've said sounds like teething. You can use calpol from 2 months. There's teething granules from birth I think, and I found gel ok from birth.

Yep, looks like teething - the rings you put in the fridge might be good. And beware the teething nappies, something to do with all the dribble upsetting their stomachs and then making nappy rash a bit worse.

DS had a phase where everything was put down to teething, which I found utterly confusing in my befuddled baby state.

Yep. Sounds like the dreaded teething. Mine started at 3 months or so but she was too little to manage teething rings. I found holding Sophie the giraffe's leg or bum in her mouth helped as she could chew furiously yet it was soft enough to get in her mouth. She also lived chewing a wet flannel put in the freezer for a little bit or just run under v cold tap. Calpol helped for the worst day or two but I never found granules or gel made any difference.

Best of luck! It's hell but it gets easier (at least it has done for our lady).
