Hi,
This is my first post, wish it was a happier one!
My eldest child, aged 10 is driving me to distraction, is it too early to put it down to hormones? Now don't get me wrong he can have lovely moments where he cuddles and kisses and says he loves me but more often than not at the moment he is moody, angry, upset... He slams doors and bursts into tears at the slightest thing. He is negative about everything, never has anything good to say about things that have happened at school. Even on the way to school he is telling me it's gonna be a rubbish day and the food is awful and he hates the teachers. He is super super intelligent and has been registered as gifted but doesn't actually want to learn anymore.
Last week he was so angry at us for grounding him for swearing that he urinated on his bedroom floor! He has also ripped up duvets recently, when I ask him why he says it's because he is angry.
He had an accident at a school trip on Tuesday which resulted in a trip to a&e and a glued head. He has since been complaining of double vision and is booked in with the eye clinic tomorrow after a GP visit so I've refused to let him watch a 3d film until he has had his eyes checked out - hence another door slamming, crying, angry hissy fit.
Please tell me I'm not the only person going through this?
