Threadworms!

Hello,
My Son is suffering with severe pain & itchiness. We have seen the doctor and she's treating him for threadworms, none have been seen. The itchiness is possibly causing him to tense and his bowel spasm hence the pain. He's in inconsolable with it. Anyone have any experience with this?

Could he be constipated and over wiping, therefore making himself sore.

Hi, no he's not constipated either. Its heartbreaking watching him so upset. Its definitely threadworms too as the dead ones were visable in his nappy this morning.

Had them numerous occasions during my childhood, as we had dogs, which my mother kept mostly indoors.

Don't worry they never did me any harm. Recent scientific research says they strengthen the immune system wonderfully in young children.

This may be tmi but could it be severe eczema? I have eczema all around this area and it so painful and itchy and can make me bleed.
