would value the experience and advice of MNetters! DS (16 weeks) has changed over past week from happy giggly soul to grizzle puss. He is either chomping on his dummy or his fingers. Having previously been a good sleeper is waking up every hour (at least!) from 3am whimpering and needing his dummy. his cheeks have been pink some of hte time but not all of the time. He doesn'[t have nappy rash, is dribbling a bit but not excessively, and his gums don't feel lumpy (i think???). do you think he may be teething and what would you recommend to ease him? thanks.

The chomping is generally a good sign that it's teething. You don't always get all the classic symptoms all the time.

You can't always feel the tooth coming through straight away, I have been told that the teeth sometimes move around under the gums which causes teething symptoms even when no teeth are appearing

Try giving him a cooled teether to chew on (perhaps keep some dummies in the fridge??) which can relieve the symptoms.
