I wonder if anyone can help or reassure me, I have a 9month old baby boy.The last couple of weeks has become increasingly irritable and grizzly.Doesn't seem content sitting playing with his toys so you pick him up and give him attention which doesn't help either. Also has started waking up a couple of times in the night too.Generally he is a happy chappy,i don't know if its teething troubles or that he is getting frustrated he is not crawling yet.I am trying to encourage that but he hates tummy time too.Always has done no matter how fun i try and make it.He is my first child so any advice would be greatly appreciated !!

Hi, I have a 9 month old and she has been the same but seems to be getting better now, it started at about 8 months??? When she was learning to crawl, she is now very good at it! So with the big developmental change and also she has been teething with all top 4 teeth (bottom teeth came at 7 months) she has been a grizzly girl and waking a lot more. As I said though I can see that she is improving and nights are better again although she is still having odd day here and there (I think teething) she seems ok.... I've found distraction and keeping her busy has helped and also kept me sane!

There is a developmental leap around this time, and a cracking sleep regression around 8-10 months. It's all normal.

Download the wonderweeks app, it is very good.
