5.5 months old early morning wakings and lie ins

Just wondered if anyone had any advice. Dd is 5.5 months old and has been sleeping really well, going from about 7pm to 5/5.30am then a feed then back down Til about 8/9am. This is so different to dd1 and I know how lucky we have been. I have just noticed however that she has started to wake for an hour or more in the early hours leading up to her early feed. She's not looking for food or crying and seems quite content. She then has her feed and then as I say goes back to sleep until around 8/9am. Yesterday it was almost 10 am. I just wondered whether anyone thnks it could be that fact that I let her sleep in so late in the mornings that is causing or maintaining these night/early morning wakings?

Should I be getting her up at a set time each morning, say 7/7.30 to try and encourage her to sleep through and not be able to catch up via these ling lie ins? I would rather her just sleep soundly through the night than sleep in late in the mornings.

Any experience or advise?

No real advice but my lo is the same age she has a similar routine though she still has a dream feed at 11pm. When she wakes at 5-5.30 ish she is happy in her cot so I usually leave her until 6 then get up for the day. She will then have a nap at 8 until 9-9.30.
I have a 2yo also that has always been an early riser and I never worked anything out that made her sleep later eventually as she got older she started to wake between 6 and 7 but I didn't do anything. Sorry if this isn't at all helpful but just my experience

Sounds similar to my 5.5 month old although in addition to the 5/6 am wake she is often up at around 2 AND I do a dream feed at 10ish.
The one thing that got her sleeping later was moving her into her own room where the blind and dark curtains make it very dark in the morning.

My other strategy is to feed her then hand her over to DH while I go back to bed for an hour with earplugs in Grin
