My daughter is nearly 8 months old she is showing no signs of wanting to crawl. She was early sitting up at 5 month unaided can pick things up and roll both ways . She is getting stronger on her legs but doesnt really do much with them for example wont bounce in door bouncer or move the walker. When should I worry about her not crawling etc

Please don't worry. My DD didn't crawl. She went straight to walking at 12 months and then learnt to crawl at 14 months. She's now an active 3year old!

My DS went straight to walking at 11 months. Don't worry. In fact, enjoy the fact your DC doesn't move very far!

Two of my friends daughters started at 10-11 months

My dd1 didn't crawl til she was over 11 months - she was walking confidently a month later.

DD2 crawled around 10 months. I think 8 months is too young to worry about it.

Yes she's too young to worry about it at the moment, I don't think any of fine crawled much before a year old!

My youngest didn't move on her own til she was over a year and that was bum shuffling. She never crawled just stood up and walked about 2 months ago @ 15mths.

Most of the females in my family never crawled at all. Nothing wrong, just didn't crawl.

My DS didn't crawl until he was over 10 months old. He was walking a month later! So don't worry, plenty of time still!

She is 7 months old and 6-12 months is normal/average for starting crawling, if they do at all.

She is fine and normal.

Mine isn't either but not worried. Her brother commando crawled at 10 months, crawled at 12 months and walked at 15 months. He is no different now from kids who walked at 11 months.

In terms of walking, if she is not walking a step or two unaided by 18 months, I would start to think about why that might be, and even then it is entirely possible it is just normal for them. Don't worry, you have loads of time.

Not all babies crawl before walking :)

My dd never crawled. She cruised the furniture for a while but was walking at 10 months.

My DD didn't crawl until 10.5 months, and didn't bear any weight on her legs AT ALL until she was over a year old. Don't worry!

One of my babies had no interest in crawling. He would roll across the floor if he really, really wanted something but otherwise was not interested in moving himself and would shout to be carried. When he got to 9 months I spent a weekend with DH on our hands and knees showing him what to do and putting a new toy in front of him, so we basically taught him to crawl.

DD didn't crawl until 11months, walking a few months later. All perfectly normal, I don't think you have anything to worry about at all.

Mine is 12 months and only now starting to look like she might fancy crawling :-)
