We live in a small village with very little traffic. My DD wants to go out with her friends to the park, and other places around the village. No matter how many times we go over the importance of the highway code with her -once she's with her friends all the riules go out the window. She forgets to stop, look and listen. We've even shown her graphic road safety adverts on you tube, but I'm still not sure it sinks in. Are we expecting too much of her? She is 7 and a half. Confused

We dint let our DS out with his friends until he was 9 and he's quite sensible. Some of his friends who are less mature still run out in the road and they are 10.
