Is it normal for a baby of that age to be pulling her own hair out? It's been going in for weeks now and she keeps pulling the same spot. Iv tried moving her away when she pulling and wearing her mittens but it hasn't helped. Hmm Any advice

Is your baby actually pulling hair out or sort of stroking in a self soothing way? Is the skin inflamed/itchy/dry? My DS sometimes scratches at a patch of dry skin and I slather it in emulsifying cream..

She is actually pulling hair out. Also the area that she pulls is now straight whereas the rest of her hair is curly

My DD was doing it from about that age, it is mostly when she is falling asleep and its a comfort thing. She is now 2 1/2 and still doing it, it could be her hair or my hair, she just needs someone's hair to play with while falling asleep. My partner was doing it when he was little, so i presume its inherited :)
