Hi, I have a 10 month old. He has been walking since 9 months and is very steady on his feet. I have child proofed the house in every way I can, lots of foam covered stuff in my house :) got rid of coffee table. Blocked off access to TV unit. But for the life of me I can't stop him banging his head. He gets over excited by everything example the theme tune for goddamn peppy pig he runs in a circle and falls and hits the sofa( which for the most part is soft I didn't even know it had hard parts until his head found them, and just to point out the thinks that excite him change from day to day norther day it could be the phone ringing or the kettle boiling). This morning he was playing right beside me he bent to pick up his teddy and lost balance and hit his head off his play pen. Huge bump sprang right up. When he is going to bed he stands up in his cot sometimes falls over hits head off the side.mim at my wit send I don't want to hover all the time and he actually gets very frustrated with me hovering .
I bought him a helmet which I can get him to wear every other day but it makes his head all sweaty and him cranky.
Is it normal for him to be hitting his head so much , should I be concerned? I brought him to the doctors twice with bumps and not sure if they think I'm crazy over protective mother. Today I was close to bringing him again but told myself to calm put ice on it and he is absolutely fine just with a bump and bruise. I just don't know what else I can do to stop him hurting himself ? Any advice?
