My daughter had her first lot of injections last Thursday, and seemed fine over the weekend, but has been really teary and upset yesterday and today, she is restless during sleep in both the day and the evening, and seems to be fighting the sleep because she's uncomfortable, is this normal? She's not normally like this. She has no temperature, anyone else experience this with their little ones?

Could be a co-incidence, maybe a growth spurt or bit of an upset tummy/virus? The only effect on my son was the skin on his legs being itchy, which then became habitual scratching which has only just tailed off at 10 months!

Yes maybe, she has always had a bit of trouble with her tummy, we thought it might be just that but with her having the injections that made me think. I've tried everything for her tummy, HV says it's something they grow out of, but she gets so uncomfortable! And it's awful, she even cries whilst feeding at the minute. We've changed teats and tried Infacol, gripe water and now colief, gone back to gripe water today, as she was more restless since having the colief too, maybe it is that?

Babyb I could have written your op, also had first injections last Thurs and since then DS2 has been very unsettled and clingy. For the past two nights he's been waking hourly at night and really difficult to settle for naps.

I think it's more likely to be a development spurt or I am wondering if I've been drinking too much caffeine.

I remember DS1 also acting like this and thought it was down to the injections but I think it's perhaps a coincidence.

Hope this phase passes soon.

Sorry the drinking caffeine is link to whether its keeping DS2 awake as I'm exclusively breast feeding him at the moment.

Too tired to make sense ha!

Thanks Mondayschild78 she had a better night last night. She has just been straining this morning and that woke her up, after a feed at 4. Used gripe water but I think she is still struggling to get it all out. Tried massage and cycling her legs she is still pushing.

Ah poor thing. Glad you had a better night. DS2 seems so much more settled today.

Oh good, I'm all new to this and prob sound a bit silly haha! But what do the letters and numbers stand for? I'm not with it lol!

I've found an improvement with her since I have taken her off the colief and I've just been and got some new bottles that are meant to be good, the tomee tippee advanced comfort ones. Will give them a try, will try anything, changed all teats too. Breast feeding was so much easier than looking at all that kind of stuff!! Unfortunately couldn't do it anymore though. I watched a you tube on baby massage, the Johnson's baby one, tried last night and did some this morning, I swear I think that May have helped a bit!!! Have you tried it? She smiled at me whilst doing it and was really relaxed too.
