My DD2 is six, will be seven in Nov.

She is currently into:

Build a bear
Make up bits (like nail polish, lip gloss and the like)
Horrible Histories
Dressing up
Music CDs (latest now album etc)
Reading - Winnie the witch, rainbow fairies books etc
Harry Potter (big time)
Outdoor stuff - rollerskating, riding her bike, scooter, going to the park etc...

Quite often we buy our DDs experiences rather than gifts for their birthdays, as they tend not to play with lots of toys.

Lego tubs and the characters, Sylvanians, Lego Wii games, still likes her Playmobil, books, games e.g. bananagrams, coppit, draughts, chinese checkers, starting to like jewellery, really likes animal colouring books and craft sets. I think she'd love rollerskates but hasn't got any. She also covets shiney things - like pretty stones or marbles, and furry things like leopard bags and purses.

My Dd is only just 8. She likes Monopoly, Playmobil, Lego, Moshi Monsters, gymnastics, anything outdoorsy such as trips to adventure playgrounds, climbing walls, Hama beads, baby dolls but not Barbie, moxie dolls a little bit, crafty stuff, stationary, books, skipping, wii games, hmmm.....Not sure what else. Unfortunately most of the above is currently scattered over the lounge floor.

I have a 7yo DS. Apart from lego, he really isn't into much and it makes him SO hard to buy for. He's much more into flinging himself about on the sofa or in the garden making up his own imaginary games!

We paid for him to do GoApe on Sunday, i think it was £16 for an hour, and my goodness, it was well worth it. He said it was the best thing he's done in his life so far! He looked a bit terrified to begin with, but he soon realised he was totally safe and had such a great time.
