Shock for today at least. We had a small victory with grapes. He hasn't touched them since he went off Green about 10 months ago aged 22months. It's the first time since then he has eaten (knowingly) any fruit at all really, apart from banana.

He had loads. I'm going to regret it tomorrow in his nappy aren't I?

he poo was fine this morning thank goodness.

omri After lunch he wanted a biscuit, I said no and got the grapes out instead. he wouldn't touch one til he saw me eating them and pulled one off the vine himself. After that he came back for (many) more. As long as he could do the pulling he would eat it, any loose ones were ignored.

Thanks pascha- I'll try that. Whenever I've tried fruit with him like blueberries and strawberries (even with sugar on) he just gags and spits when he even touches one- will try the grapes as he might be interested in pulling them off the stalk! A little adventure!

It's terrible coz I've even stopped trying recently coz I'm never ever successful in enticing him to eat any fruit. He eats veg in his dinners so i have not been too worried.

omri My DD is 2.3 and she won't touch grapes or any berries. She is generally an excellent eater though, I think she genuinely doesn't like the texture - she doesn't eat tomatoes either - I think it's the skin. I have to peel potatoes too. Strawberries I think she doesn't like the seeds and I suspect she finds them a bit acidic. She loves fruit purée though and I find that the easiest way to get it in her. Have you tried purée or smoothies?

To be honest, I can hardly complain: between the banana, mango, pineapple and occasional bit of pear, apple or kiwi, combined with tubs and tubs of fruit puree (as I can't be arsed to make it) she eats loads more fruit than I do!

My LO likes only berries, grapes and tomatoes, she wouldn't touch banana, melon or apples. Anyone have tips to make her eat them? I think she doesn't like the texture and bananas are great on the go food.

Thanks all - will keep persisting!
And yes fififrog - he drinks innocent smoothies but spits out when we make real homemade (delicious) smoothies at home :/
