Nearly 2 years and throwing food still??

My DD is nearly 2 and i cannot get her to eat a proper meal, if she has toast or something else she will throw it on the floor before she finishes it. Instead of giving it to me as she has done in the past she just throws it on the floor. She has also got in to the habit of waking at 5.30 and screaming non stop until we get up with her. This can go on for more than 2 hours. She does this if she wakes in the night too. We have tried ignoring her but she just screams continually for at least an hour if not more. There is generally nothing wrong with her and she does not want anything. Not sure what to do and very tired. The food issue i hope she will grow out of but she still won't eat a proper meal, i have had problems getting her to eat since the day she was born, she wouldn't latch on to breast feed and i had to express for three weeks before i had to give up and bottle feed her. Weaning was a nightmare. She lives on Bananas and cheese and Pasta help!

oh, yes, 5.30 is a popular waking up time for toddlers, just something you have to get used to

Try not to stress about food, she'll take what she needs. Does she have much milk?

My nearly 23 mth old throws food about a fair bit.
I just figure it's what they do at this age.

Yeah she has 1 bottle before bed and then wakes at 10.30 for another one. We manged to get her out of this habit but she has been ill and it has thrown her out of having just 1 a day

She is an only child, so noone to go to. We are having really bad terrible two's as well. Cannot tell her anything, she is 14 in her mind. Body of 2 year old

17 mth old ds4 does this. Mostly when has had enough, sometimes just for the hell of it. Whichever it is, I take the plate and put it just out of his reach on the table. Wait a minute then put it back in front of him. If he starts chucking food again, remove it to just out of reach again. It's taken a while but now he usually (not always) carries on eating properly. If he carries on then I assume he doesn't want anymore and clear the table.
