2 year old scratching herself silly!!!

My two year old has always been a very happy little girl but has suffered what started as minor issues with her skin. She is now clawring herself to pieces.
The more time I spend going to and from the doctors the worse her skin seems to be. I have tried every eczema cream known to man, each causes her rashes to spread (I think an allergy to them) as well as four different steroid creams which seem to work at first then begin to push the problem out elsewhere.
We are now taking part in a dairyfree diet however it still seems to be getting worse even after 10 days. I have a dermatology appointment in June for her but would love to know if anyone has any suggestions in the meantime as its starting to become infected again.
Really sorry to be a burden but any advice would be great fully received.

Poor DD sad

You might want to post this on the allergy board as lots of fantastic advice there. An unbelievable number of skin creams for eczema contain parabens which is utterly mad as these can actually make the eczema worse. Creams like sudocrem, diprobase, can't remember the names right now buts loads and loads. Your DD could be allergic to parabens as my daughter is. The GPs seem to continue to prescribe the next one on the list but they can all make the child worse.

Try a non paraben cream like Exomega or just google 'paraben-free eczema cream for children'

Oh, and you are not a burden sweetie, pop over to allergies, the ladies there are amazing and very experienced.

both DS2 and I suffer from skin irritation - and it usually sorted out with an anti histamine. Have you tried her on some Piriton?

I have tried piriton for a couple weeks it did reduce the swelling but not much to justify giving it to her everyday. I believed it was to do with the parabens too however we tried salcura and that also made it worse. Have got to the point where I will try anything so will look up exomega.
Thanks for advice and will check out allergy section
