Hiya my DS is 13 months & I don't think he's eating enough. I'm still breastfeeding and he wakes and feeds a lot at night. I'm not sure if it's for comfort or he's hungry.

Had him weighed yesterday he's 18lbs 9 which is just under the 9th centile, he was born on the 2nd and has always hovered between the 2nd & 9th so is growing as he should.

Anyone with a 13 month old care to share your LO daily menu.

Thanks
Hayley x

Hiya thanks for the link & reassurance will check it out.

We are not doing blw - we started off that way at 6 months but now he eats the same as I do.
He's not at all a fussy eater he's really good at trying new foods and combinations.
He eats lots of veg and has a healthy balanced diet.
My worry is that he just doesnt eat enough of the food on offer, compared to his baby friends his portions are a lot smaller. (I offer more but he won't eat much).
For example we had a picnic a few days ago with 10 babies all the same age, & I couldn't believe how much they ate. DS had a 1/4 triangle sandwich, 2 cucumber sticks, 2 sweet pepper sticks and humous.
The others were all eating 4 times more than that.
(although his 9th tooth came through that evening so he may have been a bit sore). But in general for lunch he won't eat too much more than this anyway.
He's not great at breakfast he doesn't really like anything solid until after his morning nap, although this is slowly getting better.

The HV wasn't at all worried about his weight he's following his line perfectly, he's small but was born at 5lbs so has always been small.

I'm mainly trying to work out why he wakes so often in the night I don't want it to be because he's hungry. Just want to make sure he's getting the amount of food his body needs.

well dd is 13m and im still bf. varies between once and maybe 4times within 24 hour period.
i don't think dd eats much at all. esp if teething or ill.
today dd hs eaten prob half banana, half a slice of bread, half a pouch of baby food and maybe a yogurt.
i offer her loads but most goes on floor.
why ae you getting him weighed by the way??? i haven't had dd weighed since 6m
. if he is happy and appears healthy why bother?!!

Hiya, I do give snacks but when I manage to get him eating 3 meals he rarely eats them.
I'm spooning in most of his food so def not blw.

Kerry - he was a premature bubba so it's recommended he gets weighed every 2/3 months just to make sure he's on track. Although to be honest up until 12 months round here anyway they encourage weighing every 2 months, then every 4 until 24 months.
