Refusing sleeping bag- throws off covers! Any tips??

DD is 16 months and for the last week or so,fusses when I put her in her sleeping bag. Instead of settling to sleep like she usually does, she spends the next 20 mins escaping from her sleeping bag. I don't think it's a case of she's too hot or anything, just asserting independence?! Anyway, do I just give up on sleeping bags now? And how do I keep the covers on him?

I've found little ones often hate being covered. Perhaps they know what's best for them. Children don't get much chance to use the instinct/inner wisdom they are all born with. Try her without covers maybe... Then they get older and start requesting hot water bottles in July. Or is that just to wind me up...?Grin
