14mo only 1 hour lunch nap

dd is 14mo and is only having a 1hr - 1hr 10mins nap per day at midday.

She used to nap 1 hour 10-11am and then 2.30-3.30. It then got more and more difficult to get her down at 2,30 and was often more like 3/3,15, I then had to wake her at 4 so she would go to sleep at bt.

Now though she is only having this 1hr 10mins nap and I'm worried it's not enough. She sleeps between 11.5 and 12 hours at night.

I'm not sure if this is enough overall or what I can do about it.

Any advise? Has your 14mo been similar?

Forgot to mention. We have only been doing this new 'routine' for a few days. Might it be the case that it will take time for her to sleep longer? We leave her in her cot until 2 anyway as she just chats away.

My dd went through a similar change in her routine at the same age. Some children seem to just need less sleep. Now at 21 months she only sleeps 30-45 mins after lunch. Only time she'll sleep more is due to growth spurt or illness. As long as she sleeps at night I don't mind!

DD is 14mo and an hour at lunchtime seems to be enough for her with 11-12hrs at night.
In our case it has always been difficult to get DD to nap during the day. We never bother putting her in the cot but the pram/pushchair works because we used to have to take her for a walk (still helps).
Previously she'd have 2 naps of 30-40 mins but not at definite times, now she's oscillating between that and a 1 hour lunchtime nap. Not that much difference in total time napping, but she's nicer when it gets to tea time. In my experience it takes more than a few days for something to become routine.

Hi my 15mo DD only has an hour at lunch too. Some says she doesn't nap at all but is generally a good sleeper at night (12hrs). So I'm not complaining!
