So, ds is 15 weeks. Ebf, had quite a few problems with wind when he was littler which improved hugely at 3 months.
About a week ago he seemed to have a sleep regression. It only lasted four or so days (same as the one before) with lots more feeding and suddenly outgrowing all his clothes overnight . But this time after just one night vaguely back to normal (feeds at 8-9pm 3-4am 6-7am) he is now waking every 1.5 hours, but wants comforting rather than being interested in feeding.
He's also suddenly poo'ing a lot less, and instead is having problems farting. He'll cry until massage, leg cycling etc helps get them out after which he'll fall asleep, only to wake crying 45 min later, rinse and repeat. I've just started him back on Infacol which I had stopped as it didn't seem to be needed anymore, but there hasn't really been time for that to kick in.
He's also drooling a huge amount and chewing (not sucking) hard on anything he can get into his mouth. Including my nips a few times . Oh and he's also a bit snuffly.
On top of this I've recently been trying to encourage him to get himself to sleep (naps and night time) without having to be rocked, fed etc but find myself reverting back to doing all these because he works himself up until he is red, sweating and can hardly breathe and I can't bring myself to continue
I guess my question is, does anyone have any thoughts on whether the issue really is teething or is this just how sleep regression can be sometimes? Am I being daft to give up on trying to get him to self-settle or would it just be cruel to try to do this at this point in time.
Any help greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end and unable to think straight due to sleep deprivation. Thank you!
