Slow growing hair!

My DS is nearly two and I swear his hair doesn't grow! It's thickened up since he was born but appears to have stalled in terms of growing longer. Anyone else had this with their tots? When did it start growing?!

DS didn't have his first haircut until his second birthday, and even then it was really just to trim the mohawk that was the only bit that grew :) The rest of his hair really started growing that year, and he went for his second haircut just after his third birthday

One haircut at just under 3 years old and her hair is now at shoulder length two years later. Otherwise growing well. My mum said that my first hair cut wasn't until I was over 3 years so maybe it is a trait (?). Anybody similar as a child in your family or yourself/partner?

We both had plenty of hair, as did my DS's big sister. Love him, he's the size of a tank but with the hair of a newborn!

DS3 is 22mo, and his hair is just starting to grow. We used to joke that he had a fine covering of ginger fluff, but now it needs brushing in the morning.

It still hasn't reached his ears yet though, and is at least 6 months away from needing its first trim!

It's odd for me, as my older 3 DC's were all born with a full head of hair.

When I say brushing, I mean with the 'baby' soft bristle brush that was bought before he was born nearly 2 years ago, mind you! Grin

Maybe it's a ginger thing?! My DS has ginger tendencies, but hard to tell with the lack of hair!

My just 2 year old has a mullet. He is very blond and it is long at the back and bald at the front!

My dd was completely bald i.e. shiny head until age 2. she had a bit of a scrape over going on until about 3.5 - then it started to thicken up.
