2 year old developed a stutter- normal?

My 25 month old DD has started stuttering in the past two weeks. It's not with every sentence but she does with most. Sometimes it can take her over 10 stutters to get a word out. Is this something I need to worry about or is it something she is likely to grow out of? I have 4 other DC and none of them ever stuttered so not sure how common in is!

Very normal. Both mine did, although DS was worse than DD. Neither stutter now (4 and 6). Around 2-3 is prime time when their brains go faster than their lips so to speak.

Hopefully it will just be a stage for your DD. I just ignored it with both of mine, didn't comment or interrupt. A lot of DS's peers were stuttering at the same time so I didn't worry.

Mine did at that age. Was advised to give it a few months. I did. It went away...

yes, DS2 is the same at 2.9. It can sometimes take an age for him to say what he needs to. Agree that his brain is going faster than his mouth will allow. It really sounds like a stutter but it's not really. DS1 was the same, and he is now nearly 7 with no stutter
