I am sure there's lots of posts about this, but I can't find them...! Any recommendations? Thanks

My DS is 2.5. We love:
Little red train books
Bears in the night
Any Julia Donaldson ones
Usbourne diggers
One ted falls out of bed
No matter what

Mainly though he loves going to the library and choosing his own stories for the week. There are so many amazing kids stories.

Quacky Quack Quack
Dragon on the Doorstep
Hungry Caterpillar
Each Peach Pear Plum
Gruffalo and lots of other Julia Donaldson

Maybe You Choose depending on how chatty he is?

Hairy Maclary from Donaldsons Dairy by Lynley Dodd. Don't know about 2 year olds, but I like them.

Get stuck by Oliver Jeffers. DS2 thinks it's absolutely hilarious and dissolves into fits of giggles.

(And he loves lost and found, up and down, how to catch a star and the way back home. He's a big Jeffers fan.)

Ds favourites:
Giraffes can't dance
Rumble in the jungle
Each peach pear plum
No bed without ted

Toddle Waddle
Dear Zoo
My Mum - brings a tear to my eye too!
Usborne Noisy Monsters
That's Not My whatever, with added finding of the mouse on each page at great speed
Gruffalo (ad nauseum...)
Flap lifting books about vehicles - especially diggers!
No Bed Without Ted

I often find the library is good for 'trying out' books/types of books that I'm not sure he'll go for.

Moo Cow, Kung Fu Cow
Octopus Socktopus
Elephant Wellyphant
Don't put your finger in the jelly nelly
Any of the "Amazing Machines" books by Tony Mitton and Ant Parker (Dazzling Diggers, Cool Cars, Tremendous Tractors, Terrific Trains etc)
