Help: toddler tired and sick, but only in evenings

my 2-yr-old dd is perfectly fine in the daytime, then goes all droopy and ill from around 5pm onwards - complains her belly hurts, says she's tired and wants to go to bed, and won't eat, just wants to drink milk. It's been going on a week now, and we can't work out if it's just attention seeking, or if she is genuinely sick. A couple of nights she has actually thrown up and she does go to sleep when she says she's tired, so probably illness, it's just so strange it only comes on in the evenings. Took her to the dr on Wednesday and she said she has an ear infection and her glands are up, but it just seems to be lasting for such a long time, and like I say, she's completely fine all day, including eating and drinking.
Is anyone suffering something similar? Thanks.

Did te doctor give her anything? Could it be that she just feels worse when she is tired, know I always do if I have a cold.

How about just having a couple of quiet days at home to help her recover?

Thanks. Fortunately she seems better this evening, so have my fingers crossed she's over the worst of it.

My DD (3.4) has just been having something very similar to this, right as rain until mid-pm and then very floppy and tired, complaining of belly pain, and sleeping really badly. Took her to doctors yesterday, nd was told that it could be a combination of being a bit constipated (which she has been lately, she's seems prone to it) and possibly a virus which is causing glands in the stomach area to flare up (similar to the ones in your neck). Anyway, yesterday evening she was poorly, not eating or even drinking much, saying her tummy hurt, then she threw up, immediately said tummy felt better and has been much better since. Hope your DD is better now Smile
