What to do with 1 year old refusing food?

15 month old DD has recently started refusing to eat what I've made her for breakfast/lunch/tea and asking for beans and egg instead.

Ill admit the first few times she did this, I gave her what she asked for, partly because I was impressed with her saying beans and egg and secondly because she can be a picky eater anyway and I just want to make sure she eats something.

But it's getting ridiculous now, it's all she wants to, for every meal and every snack. She is so windy! She didn't sleep well last night because she was so trumpy!

What do I do? Do I just wait until she's so hungry she'll eat whatever she's given? Most of the time she out stubborn's me!

Check if she's not ill or teething as this could be affecting her appetite and then you make good choices for her and hope for the best.

Welcome to the Toddler stage.

We give them the food and if they don't eat it, assume they are not hungry and wait until the next snack or mealtime. At that age I assume she's either bf or getting 300ml of cows milk per day so she won't starve[hsmile]
