Help! 15mo DD refusing most savoury foods

DD has always been a fantastic eater, apart from when teething. She's not teething at the moment, but is now refusing to eat savoury food that she normally loves, like pasta, shepherd's pie etc. She will only happily eat: bananas, babybel, yoghurt, raisins, apples, custard, chips. Erm, that's it.

The funny thing is, when she goes to MIL's or nursery, she eats everything in sight. It seems to be when I or DH feeds her that is the problem. We were in a restaurant and she refused a Heinz toddler meal but ate chips and custard.

I can see myself in 3 years time on House of Tiny Tearaways, with 4yo DD who will only eat yoghurt.

Has anyone else experienced similar?

My DD is going through a similar thing, but not too drastically at the moment... Always a good eater too so was a surprise! I am fairly sure she eats things when I turn my back too, so think it is a rage against mummy thing.

I found DD has stopped eating salad/veg. So today for dinner, I gave her the veg first, without showing her what else there was. I acted a bit as though this WAS dinner and sure enough she ate quite a bit. I then produced the chicken and cheese pasta and she had some of that too (while throwing the rest of the veg over the edge of the highchair bit by bit...) I think I am just going to keep trying this and making sure there is a lot of choice/variation to keep her interested in food.

I think it is just a phase and perhaps the little buggers are starting to test the waters of 'how far can I push mummy'

When she refuses what you give her, what do you do? Do you offer an alternative or just assume she's not hungry?
