My DD hit 9 months and suddenly started a major sleep regression.
Before, she was sleeping for 10 - 11 hours in her cot bed in her own room. I was still BFing her to sleep then my husband would carry her to the cot bed so she'd stir a little but would go straight back to sleep.
Now, I am having to co-sleep as she is up every 2 hours. We still get her to bed at 8ish, but she wakes again approx. every 2 hours starting from 10pm. I try to resettle her with a cuddle, but in the early hours I end up feeding her back down.
This has been going on now for over 2 weeks and I'm exhausted! Initially I thought she was teething as she did cut a top tooth, but that has eased now. She also seems to have signs of separation anxiety. I'm not sure what is causing it. She used to be able to resettle easily during the night and now she is crying and rubbing her face each time she wakes. I'm about to go back to work in a month and not sure how I'm going to deal with that unless we get her sleep back on track.
During the day she seems fine, her usual happy self. During week 1 when she was also teething she was off her solids a bit, but now is eating fine again and not crying much during the day.
Any ideas on what has caused the sudden regression and how to deal with it?
