My baby is 17 weeks old today (one week early, so maybe classed as 16 in terms of development?) Anyway, I just want some advice whether I am worrying for nothing really. She doesn't really coo or babble much. She smiles big smiles and holds eye contant, and she has cooed a bit in the passed although not loads and seems to have stopped this. She does "shout out" in the morning when awake in her cot and wanting attention - not a nice kind of babble but somewhere between a coo and the start of a cry if you know what I mean. About six weeks ago she was cooing and doing a bit of turn taking with it when you did it back to her but seems to have stopped. Her hearing is fine and like I say she smiles and holds eye contact.
Did your baby babble away all day long at this age?
Thanks.
