SLEEP! 7 month old twin waking every hour on the hour...

Hello - Oh please, any thoughts welcome. I'm just about at my wits end.

Got twins and some trouble here with sleeping... they're 33 weeks (27 corrected), DS always slept really well, DD not quite so good but often sleeping through. But I've had 5 nights now of her waking EVERY HOUR on the hour. DH is away and I can't take much more of this.

She's not hungry, windy or particularly teething, just awake - sometimes upset, sometimes not. But it's relentless. I can get her back to sleep without too much difficulty usually, with a bit of hand-holding and shushing, but she just doesn't stay down. Please somebody tell me what this is and how to manage it before I lose my mind...

Routine is pretty much this:

7am - up, milk
9am - nap, 45 mins

11am - solids, meal and pudding
12pm - nap, 1 hr or longer if I'm lucky

1.30 - milk
4pm - nap, 30 mins

5pm - porridge, fruit
6.30pm - milk
7pm - bed

10.30 - milk

Naps getting increasingly difficult too, both go mental nearly every time they're put down. If anyone's got any better routines for 7 months, I'd love to see them. Worried we're just getting all wrong, I'm getting really down and crying way too much...

Hi THERE, Sorry to hear your been woking several times during the night, from lokking at your routine the little ones may require more food during the day i.e three meals a day for example weetabix at 7/7:30am, yogurt around 9, 11:30/12 potatoes & beans or vegetables with rice, 5:00pm another solid meal of family foods and then milk in between, max should be taking 20floz. Then if wakes during night try to use controlled crying technique this means leaving them to cry for 5 min and then get up and settle by stroking on the cheek, don't take out of the cot make eye contact or talk or turn the light on, once setlled leave if wakes again leave for 6 mins each time leave for a little longer, ensuring you do the same each time, at first you may find your nights are more sleepless but if you can stick to it religiously they should start sleepimg through within 2 weeks,

Thanks! Going to start proper breakfasts tomorrow and up quantities of solids generally (bit anxious about cutting down on milk, but both twins still drink a LOT), and see if I can push morning and lunch naps a little later to drop afternoon sleep. I can settle her fairly easily (hold hand, shushing) she just doesn't stay asleep for more than an hour. Sounds like the time to try controlled crying too. Aaaargh...
