My DD is about to turn one at the end of the month & I'm thinking about taking her to some kind of baby/ toddler group once a week. At the mo we do swimming & baby sensory weekly although the latter will stop when she is 13months. She can be a bit freaked out around lots of other children & we've had a bit of a meltdown today when another baby at a party took a toy off of her and she literally went for the other baby Blush. so i kind of wonder if it will be good to get her going to this kind of thing, change of scenery for us both & different mums to talk too plus get her used to a bit if noise & other kids dashing around.

What do you think?

Definitely - go and have a look. Don't worry if she's not 'behaving/sharing' well - that's part of the point as she needs to be about other kids and learn- I doubt she'll share well till after 2.6 tbh. Everyone understands and is in the same position. She'll love it and I'm a strong believer in getting them socialised young

Do it it's the best solution for you both and it will wear her out

Hi ny dd is 2.2 an isn't keen on other kids. Playground hav always been a total nightmare! So I take her to a Gym Joeys class at our local sport centre. It's very structured and she loves it and is introduced to other kids in a more structured environment

Do it, make yourself, the more the better. They learn so much and once they're in a routine and a place becomes familiar they relax and chill out about other kids.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Well we did it! Went along to a local
Church playgroup & it was really lovely. Loads of clean toys, lots of space & coffee for mums & snacks & drinks for kids too all for a quid! Really chuffed & it was nice to chat to other mums too. DD even did a bit of (assisted Wink) sharing!
