i need someone to take this seriously as it's currently ruining my life!
My 9mo DD isn't just wriggly; she literally can't be still. It's stopping her from sleeping (and me). She was always like this, we had to swaddle her to keep her constantly waving arms from bashing her face all night. She beats her legs and waves her arms on her back but will rarely stay on her back for more than a few seconds. She roll to her front and pulls up on her hands and wriggles like that (rolling too) until her arms give out, then falls on her face for a few seconds rest then shes up again. All the time interspersed with rolling around.
She is overwrought, overtired, she just can't switch off. She isn't overstimulated. Sometimes I have to hold her arms down, or pin her against me to give her a ten minute break, but then she is off again. She won't sleep on her own, so by now I'm a bit beside myself.
Anyone else seen this? My mum and my MIL both thought they'd seen it all before but they're quite spooked by this. How do I get a dr to even talk to me about it? When I mentioned it before I got "yes my son was a really wriggly baby, etc etc your a first time mum if course you're worried over nothing".
