9 mo cant stop moving

i need someone to take this seriously as it's currently ruining my life!

My 9mo DD isn't just wriggly; she literally can't be still. It's stopping her from sleeping (and me). She was always like this, we had to swaddle her to keep her constantly waving arms from bashing her face all night. She beats her legs and waves her arms on her back but will rarely stay on her back for more than a few seconds. She roll to her front and pulls up on her hands and wriggles like that (rolling too) until her arms give out, then falls on her face for a few seconds rest then shes up again. All the time interspersed with rolling around.

She is overwrought, overtired, she just can't switch off. She isn't overstimulated. Sometimes I have to hold her arms down, or pin her against me to give her a ten minute break, but then she is off again. She won't sleep on her own, so by now I'm a bit beside myself.

Anyone else seen this? My mum and my MIL both thought they'd seen it all before but they're quite spooked by this. How do I get a dr to even talk to me about it? When I mentioned it before I got "yes my son was a really wriggly baby, etc etc your a first time mum if course you're worried over nothing".

Should add that during the day she is certainly active but totally normal and is able to concentrate on little things for quite a long time.

My 9 month old DS is exactly the same! In fact I was thinking of posting tonight myself. Even when nearly collapsing with tiredness he seems to have this compulsion to crawl and climb and stand. I have to chase him round the bed to put pyjamas on and he will no longer feed to sleep. He lies for about 2 sucks and then tries to spin round still latched on ( ow!) then does a few laps of the bed before coming back for 2 sucks (standing if I let him). The only way I can get him to sleep is to hold him and walk around. He arches his back and wriggles but eventually gives up and goes to sleep. I would like to try leaving him in his cot (with me near) to go to sleep now, he is heavy to rock to sleep, but there is no way he will lie down. He just stands and cruises round his cot and babbles away to me. Even if I put him down nearly asleep!

I guess they are just so excited about being able to move and need to practice but it is exhausting isn't it? How do you get DD to sleep?

On me, with lots of tears every time she wakes (10 min intervals). I'm afraid to move. Last night I nearly wet the bed.

She has been like this since birth, though. I thought it would go away as she learns to control her arms and legs but it hasn't.
