help my restless baby sleep!!

my 8 month old has for nearly a month and a half been very restless, she sleeps for an hour or so then she starts wriggling about , crawling and even sits up - all while shes asleep which then results in her waking up upset or crying in her sleep which I then find hard to bring her out of. I find this happens wether shes in her cot or in bed with me. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal and how can I help provent it me and my baby are so tired due to this . please help x

Have you tried putting her in a grobag or baby sleeping bag so she feels a bit more secure? My DS loved these bags, I wish they made them for big boys!
