Teething question?

My 8 month DD was born 4 weeks prem and although her development seems to be on track (sitting, crawling, etc) she still has not started teething. We have had what we thought were the beginnings, like excess dribble, disturbed sleep, off her food a bit but no teeth. What age did other people's DCs start to get teeth? And at what point should be concerned? HV didn't seem to concerned at her 8 month check last week but wanted to get other people's experiences.

i have friends whose babies didnt get teeth till they were over one!

my dd is 9mths and just has the bottom two and no signs of any others.

whereas my boys all had more by this age, they got their first teeth at 3/4mths ish!

most of dd's little 'friends' all have many more teeth than her, but they will get them eventually, i wouldnt worry :)

My DS is 10 months and was 8 weeks premature. He's only just started to get his first bottom teeth although he's been dribbling since about 4 months. It'll happen - our HV has never been worried, neither has the Dr

DD was 13 months before she started teething (She was 13 weeks prem). However, all my nephews and nieces who were full term babies were over 1 before they started. I think part of it's genetic...

We had loads of signs of teething from about four months onwards. However DS (full term) didn't cut his first tooth till 11.5 months six weeks later and he has five!

I really wouldn't be concerned. It might be worth asking your parents when you teethed as, apparently, it's hereditary. My nephews didn't teeth until they were around one as well.
