Arghhhhh my older children have broken up from school and the baby seems to be terrified of missing any of the fun and is now refusing to nap at lunchtime. I am genuinely worried for my mental health, he's up at 5am and would have a good two hours before going down at 7pm at night. If he stays awake all day he'll want a nap at 5pm and then stays up until 11pm by which point I will be ready to stick my head in the gas oven. Any suggestions ?
You may not die but you will go insane. Is there anyway for you to set up a midday quite time for everyone. This way the 13 month old will sleep while the others play, read, watch TV quitely. A friend of mine managed to do this successfully. I was very lucky that my toddler would take himself off to lay down whenever he was tired and never broke from the routine.
