Gritty/sandy substance in baby poo - any explanations?

Over the past couple of weeks on a couple of occasions, I've noticed a few tiny clumps of a brown sandy/gritty type substance in my BF 10 wk old DD's poo. It doesn't seem to bother her in anyway and she is not unwell so I haven't contacted the doctor about it. I've called the HV and am waiting for them to call me back on Monday. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this with their LO and might have an explanation for it. She is a phenomenal poo-er, she hardly ever just has a wet nappy, almost always soiled as well and it is totally normal in colour and consistency for a BF baby.
Thanks!

Grit? Or sand? Just eliminating the obvious first. (No pun intended.) grin

Ah. 10 weeks old. Unlikely, then.

I read here about a year ago what that is about - but I've now forgotten (sorry). However, it is quite common, my 2 year old has often had "sandy" poo. Nowadays it could quite reasonably be sand though grin.
