Hello. 1o days ago LO had MMR, have just taken her temperature for the 4th time tonight and its 38.4, was 38.1 when i put her to bed at 7pm. She has had two doses of calpol in the last 4 hours. I am suspecting this is an mmr reaction. Is there anything else i can do to get the temperature down - she is kind of lying there moaning and looking very unhappy, although when i pick her up she start pointing and jabbering at everything.

I start worrying about temps when they get to 39.0+

How much Calpol did you give her? (You mention 2 doses in 4hrs)

A cool flannel on her forehead, keep clothing light etc

that's high, does she seem as though she's in discomfort. (crying, whiny)

YOU know your child, go with the gut instinct, isn't a couple of hours at A+E a small price to pay.

If it were mine I would, just for peace of mind
