My DS has 6 bfs during the day 6am - 11pm and 2 during the night (although we co-sleep so could be more)
And he's on 3 solid meals a day with a snack mid-morning and afternoon.
What's everyone else schedules like?

At 7 months I think ds had:

6am - bf
8am - breakfast
10am - bf
12pm - lunch
1pm - bf
4pm - bf
5pm - tea
6.30pm - bf
11pm - bottle

Ah ha a bottle at 11pm,if only my DS would take one that is exactly what I'd do! I can't remember what a full nights sleep is like envy

My just turned 8 month DS4

BF at around 7am, 1pm, 5pm, 10pm

solids, 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks (yogurt or fruit puree), plus odd bits of finger food which are just played with, rather than actually eaten at this stage.

massive BF about 7.30ish am
Bottle 8oz 2.30ish pm
Massive BF 6ish pm
+ 3 meals
It doesn't sound like a lot but she is not interested the rest of the time. She is a giannt though so I think she is just a really efficient feeder- never thought I would say that when feeds used to take an hour!

Oldmum42 & DM - do your babies 'sleep through'?

DialsMavis Tue 28-Jun-11 18:49:32

DD sleeps through the night when not teething, she has however been teething since 12 weeks with only 1 to show for all the crimson cheeked drooly wails! I would say she sleeps through 6.30/7pm- around 7.30am about 12 nights out of every 14.

my dd is ebf and has 3 milk feeds a day - 645ish (when she wakes up), 2/230 (after lunchtime nap) and 615pm bnefore going to bed. She sleeps through the night.
I dropped the 10pm feed about a month ago (and in hindsight should have done it ages ago) and the 1145am feed a week ago as she wasn't taking much
this has definitely coincided with her solid intake going up

it depends really (I feed on demand) but most days it is about 5-6 during the day and 2 feeds at night.

DD (7 month) has other than that breakfast (porridge), lunch and dinner.

I lose count. Although he does drink a lot of water, he seems to feed more at night and then I'm usually sleeping through it and he snacks so there is no real way of knowing. He definitely feeds around 11am and definitely around 4pm because he naps at this times. Otherwise he still feeds every few hours. Sometimes I wonder if I should be keeping track.

He also has 3 meals a day and some fruit snacks too.

Oh bloody hell. My 7mo DS still feeds every 2 hours around the clock. So about 12.

Lol@OctaviaPink grin
Little monkeys aren't they.
Yesterday DS wanted me every 2-3 hours ?teething...
It's interesting to see how many of our LO 'sleep through the night'
I promised myself I wouldn't get obsessed with STTN but it's so difficult when I need matchsticks to prop my eyes open at work (yawns)

I have given up on the foolish idea of my baby sleeping through the night. I've decided I'm going to store up all the night disturbances and take up drumming when he's a teenager. Right outside his bedroom door.

Octaviapink I feed my 7 month old DS every 2.5 hours during the day but give the last one at about 7pm. At 4 months I skimmed through a book that was telling me my baby should be on a 4 hourly feeding regime, I then cried! But now I don't care, if he's hungry he can have some booby and if that means he snacks then so be it!

Octaviapink Fri 01-Jul-11 12:49:13

Yes, I'm with you on that! Though the last couple of nights I've been trying a new tactic - instead of feeding him at 9-ish when he wakes up I try to hold him off for a while. It means quite a lot of walking up and down singing, but last night he obviously wasn't really hungry and was happy to wait till 10pm. Then he went till 1am and then 4am which feels like a breakthrough! I can't remember the last time I had three hours sleep! Of course it helps that solids are kicking in a bit too. Am hoping that another couple of nights of this and he'll stop waking up at 9. Apart from anything else it'd be nice to go out for the evening!

My LO is 7 months and her 'average' day looks like this:

7am - breastfeed
8am - breakfast
9am - short nap
10:30 - breastfeed
11:30 - lunch
12:00 - long nap
2:30 - breastfeed
5:30 - tea
6:30 - breastfeed
And sometimes a breastfeed in the middle of the night if she wakes.

Hmmm... I don't do exact timings, but something like -

BF on waking
Breakfast
BF
Lunch
BF once or twice
Dinner
BF
BF before bed
Sometimes one BF in the night

So 5-7 times over 24 hours.
